The 2nd race took place on a beautiful track in Patras and XRAY driver Harris Katikas completely dominated the World (open) class race by taking TQ and overall win.

The 3rd round of the French 1/8th scale buggy Nationals took place this weekend at the Reims circuit in the North of France. The event was dominated by the European Champion Yannick Aigoin who set the fastest time in qualifying driving his RB powered XRAY, securing him TQ and the first starting position at the grid. After the bad luck in the previous two rounds of the French Championship this time Yannick earned the good luck. Yannick’s XRAY XB8EC was unstopable and unbeatable and after the long final run Yannick took home the overal win of the 3rd round of the French 2007 Nationals.

Information from Kawada BLOG that it is a 4WD touring car and will be available in the middle of July for sale.   The car now are in the testing stage.  The picture is installing the oil damper for M300 (RXS-16N).

The 2007 Reedy Touring Car Race was held at Tamiya America, Inc.’s track in California from May 26th-27th. TRF (Tamiya Racing Factory) was there in force and our ace driver Marc Rheinard took a dominant win in the Invitational Class with his TRF415MSXX. This makes it two in a row for Marc, who also won last year’s Reedy Race.

The Reedy Race features the often-used Qualifying & Final race format, with the best six results from 8 rounds used to determine the winner. In addition, each round features a different grid of drivers and there is a limit on how many sets of tires could be used for the race, so every round is intense and highly competitive. This year’s Invitational Class featured a very international field of 31 elite drivers from around the world. At the end of the first day of racing, Marc was in 5th place on the standings at 6 points, 2 points from the leader. However, on the second day he turned up the heat, winning one round and taking 2nd in another with some cool driving performances and claimed the championship even before all the rounds had been completed.

Furthermore, with Viktor Wilck taking 4th place and “Hupo” Hoenigl taking 5th, TRF drivers with their TRF415MSXX cars took 3 out of the top 5 spots in the overall driver rankings, clearly demonstrating the machine’s outstanding performance for all to see.
