Round 4 of the BTCC was held at Broxtowe on a glorious weekend. Saturday practice allowed car set ups to be tried on this tight and tricky track. Sunday qualifiers followed the normal format best from 3 and with high temperatures forecast there was a good chance that the first qualifier would be critical. Elliott Harper was 2nd on the grid and set off at speed. The Cyclone/Orion/Nosram package was immediately dialled from the previouse days set ups and earlier practice and he quickly set the pace and delivered the fastest time, with a 21 lap run, which later gave him FTD. Elliott followed this up with 2 further qualifier wins to take pole position.
The modified A final was always going to be crowded on this challenging track and the first final was not without incident. Elliott quickly set the pace and secured the first win even after a head on collision with a stranded car and some difficult overtaking opportunities!! The 2nd final went much smoother with Elliott again delivering a 21 lap race to take 2 wins and FTD on the day.Â
