Olly Jefferies scored his first national win for Hot Bodies / Orion / Nosram when he took victory at the fourth UK national at Snetterton. Olly and team mate Andy Moore shot to the top of the time sheets in final round of qualifying with Andy taking FTD with his Cyclone and Olly less than a second behind. The first final was a close battle between the top three with Craig Drescher making a three car train as the cars lapped the Snetterton circuit almost nose to tail, Craig dropped off the pace a little leaving Olly and Andy to battle it out for the first leg win.
Sweeping on to the straight with seconds to go Olly squeezed up the inside of Andy and got his nose in front, unfortunately they touched and Andy spun dropping down the order and loosing a place to a fast finishing Glen Doman, Olly went on to take the first leg win.
Second leg and it was demonstration run for the Hot Bodies duo as they drove away from the battling field behind them, after only a few laps the pair had the length of the straight clear ahead of the chasing pack and both drove conservatively to a dominating one – two.
Olly took the overall win from Andy and Craig, fourth was an excellent result for Mark Gilliland running the XRAY T2 007 EU who finished third in the second leg making it Mirage 1-2-3 in that leg.
In the B final it was a convincing win for Elliot Harper who was unfortunate not to make the A, finishing second was another Hot Bodies driver Mark Styles who seems to have put his national gremlins behind him with solid performance.
