The German XRAY Nitro Touring Car Team dominated the German National Championship 2007 by sweeping the whole podium. The German National Championship in the Nitro Touring Car category was held the last weekend of August, and after several qualification rounds the best German drivers from different regions qualified into the very last main final race to compete for the prestigious title of German National Champion.

Team Hot Bodies/Orion/Nosram drivers Andy Moore and Olly Jefferies had a front row lock out at the final round of the BRCA modified touring car nationals, in the finals they had to give second best to new champion Chris Grainger but not before two breath taking finals. The final round of the national series saw all three classes, 27 turn, 19 turn super stock and modified all together for a two day meeting at the fast Cotswold track. Qualifying on Saturday saw Olly Jefferies well out in front with a new track record. Olly held FTD over night but in the final qualifying run on Sunday morning Andy Moore piped Olly by just under a second. Elliott Harper was an excellent fourth on the grid with his Cyclone and Stewart Noble also made his first ever modified A final. Jon Bowden made a spectacular return to the national scene, after missing most of this years nationals Jon was straight back on the pace and made the A final. Yuya Sahashi is the 2007 Japanese 1:8 National Champion. Racing over the weekend at Central Racing Park, the international racing star clinched the presitgious title in style winning the event with his Mega powered Serpent 960 ‘07 by almost a full lap. |
