JConcepts releases the first of the new Illuzion bodies for the Fall Lineup with the body which made its debut as number 2 and 3 on the IFMAR Worlds Podium in Japan.

(Direct fit for Associated B4 Stealth buggy 1/10th scale buggy)
The B4 Illuzion was designed for the Team Associated B4 stealth buggy. The Illuzion body comes complete with window mask and 2 6″ V-wings. The lluzion Hi-Flow body features hard edge side pod styling with runners on the sides designed to move the air more efficiently to the wing. The roof of the body has been dramatically wedged and Illuzionized for that aggressive look.

The hi-flow regions, shown in the close-up image, can be cut for additional internal flow for specific driver needs and application.

Far up in the Mountains of Japan, Mount Hakusan to be exact, we were about to embark on the debut of the S500 prototype’s first mission of attempting to take over the world.

As we arrived at the track the weather was much better than it had previously been for the 2wd portion of the event. The sun was out, track was dry and practice was about to begin. Having never actually raced the car at an event I was quite unsure of exactly how things were going to fare out. I had bench raced the car many heats and felt the set up would be a great starting point. Gerd and Joern were going to start with their already successful set up and would serve as a good comparison at the end of the day.

Serpent’s F180 formula racer is the cover car for the upcoming edition of top UK r/c car magazine Radio Race Car International.

The car will be featured in the November issue of the magazine which goes on sale October 6th and is finished in the Spyker F1 colours to reflect reporter Mark Christophers visit to the Spyker F1 team factory as part of the feature on the unique 1:8 nitro powered Serpent.

The picture is a kevlar / carbon fibre tub chassis for the S4 which Mat Dodd is testing, the chassis has a outer layer of kevlar and the normal inner layers of carbon fibre, the kevlar should help reduce any wear to a minimum on the chassis, and also doubles up as a small bullet proof vest in emergences lol. The only draw back is with kevlar is that when you do wear down to the kevlar it can get hairy.

Vantomme M12 (created by Benedict Vantomme) and manufactured by Fibre-Lyte (England), Link-because with a nose gear traditional (Asso-style face-end). The carbon frame is wants to be “super-stiff”, even with the “cut-outs” but because it is very narrow and it has a thickness of 2.4mm. Dimensions (between the wheels (between-before) and before-back) are identical to those of Asso L4.
