The Tamiya Asia Cup is an annual competition to determine the best R/C drivers in Asia, who will then take part in the Tamiya World Championships in Japan. 2007 was the 10th year that this event has been held, and a strong field of 88 drivers from Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and host country Taiwan came to participate. This year’s venue was Beitou Sports Center, located in the northern part of Taipei, and the race circuit took up practically the entire 2nd floor of the facility. The drivers dueled with each other over the course of three days, with Practice Session on September 14th, Qualifying on September 15th, and the Final on September 16th.
