Last weekend Serpent, in co-operation with RC club MACH, staged a demo event in the paddock area of the Dutch A1GP race in Zandvoort.

The club laid out a nice simple track, with enough space to showcase the Serpent 720 and similar cars, and of course to demo the Serpent F180 1/8 scale formula car. The club did a perfect job, allowing the drivers to do a superb demo with close racing and we even had background music and a true speaker to make the commentary and promotions.

The IIC in Las Vegas is over and Team Serpent with the new Serpent S400 did well at their first major EP race. Billy Easton, who qualified 5th for the Rubber TC Modified A-final had a blistering start and made some good moves on Hara, Rheinard and Baker to be in 2nd spot right behind LeMieux by Lap 2. Unfortunately Billy hit a border and the drivers behind him crashed into him, which he was not able to recover beyond ninth spot. But, well done Billy, more to come soon! Dutch team driver Niels Koenekoop also did a great job finishing 16th in a World class field that saw Marc Rheinard win the final, in front of LeMieux with Hara 3rd.

Team XRAY debuted the all-new XRAY T2′008 at the at the indoor season opening race - the famous and one of the most competitive indoor races, the International Indoor Championship. The whole team factory team raced with the brand new T2′008 and the team has received the final production kit just at the race event. With just few practice rounds the XRAY team showcased some of the strongest performance and was the team to beat during the whole week. In the rubber modified category it was Paul Lemieux who set TQ with his XRAY T2′008 with other XRAY team drivers Barry Baker, Teemu Leino and the young Alexander Hagberg qualifying into the main final too.
