Fine Design Kyosho Inferno GT Water-Cooled, Brushless conversionPosted by: rceasy in RCeasy News
Fine Design has released the very first ready-to-run, water-cooled, brushless conversion for a nitro vehicle. Fine Design took the popular 1/8-scale Kyosho Inferno GT series of nitro touring cars and converted them to electric using a high power Fine Design Nemesis Blue brushless motor and 4S 3700 LiPo battery pack. What makes these vehicles extra special is the water cooling system that allows the car to run at high speed in very hot temperatures without overheating and shutting down. The cooling system has a pump that is powered by its own LiPo pack, that sends water through a cooling jacket on the motor and speed control. The water then passes through a coil of metal tubing that is further cooled by an electric fan.

Yokomo - Naoto Matsukura wins 1/12th Japanese National ChampionshipPosted by: rceasy in Racing News, YokomoTeam Yokomo driver Naoto Matsukura wins his first 1/12th scale Japanese National Championship! At just 14 years old!!
At the JMRCA 1/12 On-Road Nationals, held over 3 days from 9/28 to 9/30 at Yatabe Arena, Team Yokomo’s young hope Naoto Matsukura put in a dominating performance by setting the fastest time in qualifying, and winning all 3 rounds of the finals. An incredible feat, as this was his first time competing in a Nationals for this class. History was also made as he became the youngest driver to ever win the prestigious event. Fellow Team Yokomo driver Masami Hirosaka, who has traditionally dominated this class with an astonishing win record, had a difficult race as this race took place right after the World Championships. Despite this, he fought through to finish in 2nd behind Naoto Matsukura to complete a 1-2 finish! Both ran the RC-12L4Y. Matsukura and Hirosaka were both powered by the new Yokomo motor co-developed with Reedy, the ZERO WORLD MAX M5 9-Turn, and Yokomo Peak-Matched X4200IBWC batteries. Matsukura’s ESC of choice was the Yokomo VFS1 Competition II Masami Model ESC, while Hirosaka chose the GM-SX12WM. Both ran Yokomo L-Rubber Firm(front) and L-Rubber Soft(Rear) tires.
