Race report by Martin Hudy
The International Friendship Race was held in Enskilstunda, approximately 130km from Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden. The race was held at a permanent carpet track that is well known to 1:12 scale drivers because it is the same track used this year for the 1:12th European Championship. Drivers from North European countries (Finland, Norway, and Denmark) attended this event. Moreover, drivers from Great Britain, Germany, Netherlands, and Slovakia joined the race as well. Team XRAY was well represented by top Swedish driver Alexander Hagberg, Helge Johansen from Norway, Alistair Graham from Great Britain, and Juraj and me as well.

The newest engine that comes from our R&D team is a pure racing bred engine, and it is an exact replica of the engine that Collari used to win our 9th World Championship title with.
The 35 PLUS 21 LC “Cordoba Edition” has an all-new carburettor.
Made from a different kind of alloy and combined with the integrated cooling fins will it keep the temperature of the fuel down before it will enter the engine’s internals.
The cooling fins will also reduce the overall mass of the engine; this improves the performance of your 1:8 On-road racing car.

Sidewinder Nitro Explosion at Thunder Alley Raceway.
Also heard from an inside source this track might be the host for the 2008 ROAR 1/8th buggy Nationals. Unfortunately the weather was very cold, but the event was awesome according to Adam. Like most other remote control events many of the top US drivers attended, including are some of the following; Ryan Mayfield, Mike Truhe, Ryan Cavalieri, Jeremy Kortz, Greg Degani, Gary Guest, Scott Hughes, Levi Jackson, Brent Theilke and many more. Adam showed his skills by starting on grid in the 1/8th truck A-main in the first position and a respectable second position in 1/8th buggy expert class. During the warm-up Adam new that he had a good chance to finish well since every thing was working together from his Platinum fuel, Adam Drake “Draked” engines and Losi vehicles. Needless to say Adam performed in fashion once again showing his domination in the 1/8th truck and 1/8th buggy 45 min finals bringing home both wins.
