
After three revisions of the transmission case itself, two versions of the motor plate, two versions of the shock tower, several supplier problems, and Chazz being very sick for the last week, the 4-Gear transmission and C.F. rear shock tower are finally here. Paul is returning to Nashville on Dec 10 from the JConcepts clash in Tampa and will turn the shopping cart on later that day.

New for the S400, Serpent is pleased to introduce the long awaited front one-way axle set. Sold complete with everything needed, including the 35T composite pulley, when installed the set gives the car more steering and is perfect for use on carpet tracks, especially with foam tires. To improve durability the drive adaptors have been made from steel, yet remain lightweight due to their hollow design.

Please note that the T2‘008 6-cell EU Rubber-spec Edition and T2‘008 6-cell US Foam-spec Edition chassis is very narrow and as such the batteries and motor are placed as close to the car centerline as possible. Because of this, some wider pinion gears may contact therearmost cell of a 6-cell battery pack.
For stock racing, XRAY recommends using their new offset spur gears along with narrow pinion gears; the narrow pinion gear should be 3.0~4.0mm wide. XRAY offers a range of narrow 3.5mm wide pinion gears. See the tables for gearing selections.
