Fresh from his electric buggy win in Hohenems, Jörn Neumann was off to Quakenbrück with his 1:8 Nitro prototype Serpent buggy where he would make his debut with new engine sponsor OS.

Working with his mechanic and Serpent designer Gerd Strenge, Jörn TQ’d for the indoor event winning each of his heats by a comfortable 1 lap margin over the second placed driver.

In the Semi Final he was again very fast car but while holding a one lap lead he suffered a plug failure ending his race.

Despite this bad luck Jörn was very pleased with the progress and speed of the new Serpent 1:8 buggy and will be back in action with the car next weekend at the Kyosho Masters at Ostrava in the Czech Republic.

The biggest indoor EP Buggy race of the year took place in Austria on January 5 & 6 and it was Serpent’s Jörn Neumann who took the win with his new Serpent 1:10 4WD EP buggy.

Running at the Winterchamps in Hohenems, Jörn used his Serpent Prototype 4WD to great effect winning the first two legs of the final to secure the overall victory over Hupo Hönigl (Tamiya) and 3rd placed Peter Pinisch (Associated).

This is the second major win for Neumann with the Serpent backing up his victory last month at the Petit RC Indoor Race in Paris, France.

The 3-times italian champion, 2-times European Champion and 3-times Vice-World Champion will participate at all major national and international 1/8th scale on-road races playing an important role for our race team and helping us promoting our products. Additionally he will be a constant part of our research and development team. With his big experience in professional rc-car racing and optimum practise andt testing conditions in Italy he will assist us in improving the quality and performance of our products.

CML Distribution are first to announce details of the race everyone’s been waiting for, the Pro-Line International Challenge 2008.

Hosted by Remote Model Car Club in Berkshire, England the event takes place over the May Bank Holiday Weekend, beginning Saturday 3rd May with the finals on Monday 5th May. Camping spaces are available for what is already lining up to be an amazing weekend.

Model sport at the highest level was on the weekend, 11.-13. January 2008 at the newly carpeted with grass stretch of the RCRT shown. The driver was box with plenty of top riders filled, which for two exciting fights ensured.

Names like Mikael Palson, Dario vitamins, Christian Warda, Philipp Guschl, Andreas Bartels, Mark Feldmann, and the electrical 1:10 offroad rider Joern Neumann, and Benny Gröschl Hupo Hönigl Some were also expected. Fastest driver of the weekend was Joern Neumann. He was at that time the water is not enough. A candle lose in the semi-finals, however, prevented him ascend to the finals.
