The serious racer is on a never-ending search for an advantage over his competition. Reducing motor temperatures is an easy way to increase speeds and lower lap times. Reduced temperatures result in increased power output, more consistence performance, and longer motor life.
Reedy’s Motor Cooling Fan Assembly features two pre-wired fans that can be strategically positioned so that motors and/or other electronics are treated to a constant stream of cool fresh air. A pre-installed receiver plug fits conveniently into the third channel receiver socket. No assembly required!

Radio Rally in Western Australia held their annual gala over the weekend. The track was set up on a large flat grassy area which turned out to have very low grip. The race format would be a combination of rounds to decide the winner, so the pressure was on to have reliability and speed.
Having tested the XB8EC on dirt only, I used that setup as my starting point. The buggy was fast from the start, however a change to the soft white shock spring saw it really hook up… fastest of the day! The racing was intense and one mistake would be costly with the top three separated by only the smallest amount. XRAY proved itself the most consistent, and captured the win in every round.

For those who read my columns regularly they can probably understand that for the last year I was living and breathing nitro touring (NT1) and electric touring (T2), and as such I put off-road product line development to the back of my mind and transferred that R&D responsibility to a few team drivers. Even though we have spent a great amount of development and track time when working and finishing the new truggy project (XT8) I really had spent minimal track time and development time on the off-road buggy (XB8) and as such this has had a bit of a negative impact on some things.
