The penultimate round of the Hungarian Modellzona Cup took place over the weekend and it was once again the Serpent S400 that set the pace as the Unico Modellsport once more secured victory in the Pro Stock and Modified classes to secure overall title success in each category.

The Southern Clash is held each year in the South Island of New Zealand. The Dunedin Radio Enthusiast’s Car Club runs the event in a car park by the beach in St Kilda, Dunedin. The event was supposed to be run on the Saturday with 3 rounds of qualifying and 2 finals. Unfortunately it rained most of the day, and we all ended up holding off till Sunday.

Monday, March 3, 2008 – Kyosho America announces the new AKA brand, which will launch with a line of high-performance 1/8 off-road tires, wheels and inserts. Mark Pavidis and Gil Losi, Jr. are spearheading the design of the new line. Pavidis and Losi, Jr. are responsible for the most successful off-road racing tire designs of the last decade, so the combined knowledge and racing experience of these two RC icons promises some very dynamic, high-performance tires. The launch will include two types of low-profile 1/8 off-road buggy and truck racing tires featuring two different compounds, lightweight and contoured foam inserts, and large-diameter low-profile racing wheels.
