The Portuguese 1:8 National Championship got underway in the Algarve recently where Team Serpent Portugal enjoyed a strong start to their campaign with double podium result.

Competitors were greet by beautiful weather for which the Algarve is world famous making for a nice weekend but a dirty track on the Saturday made practice difficult. Come Sunday, race day, the track was up to grip with Ricardo Nogueira and João Sousa placing their Mega ZX powered Serpent 960 ‘08 in top 3 after the heats.

Clear polycarbonate 200mm Civic body shell. EFRA approved #2028.

Created by the same designers as the immensely popular Central Lola 1/8th scale body shell, Serpent is pleased to introduce the East Civic 1/10th 200mm body shell. This new shell sports 2 ribs on either side of the car to increase stiffness to this area while at the same time allowing the shell to be made from very lightweight materials. Other details include ribs on the bonnet that channel the air over the lowered windscreen and back to the rear wing. The Civic, which has been extensively tested by Central RC, provides the user with very responsive, high grip and well-balanced handling characteristics.
