As the 2008 BRCA 1:10 Off-Road National Championship kicked off at the multi-surface Kidderminster track, it was Associated drivers Neil Cragg and Lee Martin who shared the wins over the course of the weekend.  Tom Yardy (Associated/Nosram) kicked off his season strongly with wins in rounds one and two before last year’s championship runner-up hit back with wins in rounds three and four to take pole by virtue of a faster time.

The rain came down for the finals though and this made for some changes to tyres and set-up, and it was Neil who powered to a win in the first leg before Tom’s team-mate Phil Sleigh won leg two. Neil was back on it for the final leg and took the win giving him overall victory from Paul Bradby and Phil.

On Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April, 2008, the starting shot was fired for the Swiss championship, category 1/10 track 200mm.
The first race was organized by MRCL (Model Racing Club Langenthal) on the club’s own track in Langenthal.
Despite forecasts of dreadful weather and a great deal of rain during the week, we had a superb weekend of racing. The rain held off for training on Saturday, and Sunday, the racing day, was a superb dry day although extremely cold. The temperature in the morning was around 5° but had reached around 17°by the end of the event.

Final results:
1. Schaer Traugott XRAY NT1
2. Wälti Beat XRAY NT1

3. Bonetti Giovanni
4. Diamantogiannis Petros XRAY NT1
5. Spreng Helli XRAY NT1
6. Wenger Martin XRAY NT1
7. Ackermann Monika XRAY NT1

8. Hagnauer Philipp
9. Bösiger Marc
10.Stammler Dirk

No official press release yet, but here are some pics of XTM Super class rock crawler. As you can see, it’s all aluminum. It uses a typical four link suspension and movable lower shock mounts allow you to adjust ride height. The axles contain gear boxes, so two motors will be required. This design should yield no torque twist, so it should be an excellent climber.

Key Features

  • Molded foam inserts for 1/8 buggy tires will not break down
  • Feature a special design and material formulation that keeps the contact patch and sidewall flex consistent

Overview

One size does not fit all when it comes to racing and maintaining proper tire support and contour. Specifically for Losi 1/8 Buggy Tires, these molded foam inserts feature a special design and material formulation that keeps the contact patch and sidewall flex consistent and correct for the life of the tire. Unlike punched sheet foam or cheaply made generic inserts, these molded foam inserts will not break down. The consistency is second-to-none; one tire will not be softer or harder than the next, either of which can create serious handling problems.
