Lackner takes European 1:8 Junior titlePosted by: rceasy in Racing News, Serpent, tags: SerpentPromising young Swiss driver Shasa Lackner took the biggest title of his career on Sunday when he was crowned the 2008 EFRA European 1:8 Onroad Junior Champion in Valencia, Spain. The Serpent 960 ‘08 driver finished a very creditable 29th overall from the 129 car field to claim the title for the highest placed driver under 17 years of age. In the overall result Serpent, who had the biggest representation in the Main final with four 960 ’08s, enjoyed a podium finish thanks to another young talent Andrea Cristiani from Italy who took third missing out on the race victory by just 2 seconds. Unfortunately incidents for the other Serpent drivers Massimo Fantini, who TQ’d the race, Oscar Cabezas, who lead the final in the early stages, and Michael Salven ended their challenges for the title.

Naoto Matsukura double win at 2008 JMRCA 1/10 EP Off Road National ChampionshipPosted by: rceasy in Racing News, tags: JMRCA4WD Podium 1) Naoto Matsukura 松倉 直人 2WD Podium 1) Naoto Matsukura 松倉 直人 Haven’t you had a hard time when you’ve tried to replace your old bearings with long nose pliers or - driver? Using these improper tools might damage your bearing’s seal or you could injure your hand! MuchMore’s New Bearing Remover is a tool that can remove your ball bearing from Kyosho Mini-z, steering arms, steering posts, hubs etc. easily and safely. Simply insert this Bearing Remover into the bearing then tighten the hand screw and pull out it. We have various sizes which are most frequently used for R/C cars such as 2,3,5,6,8 and 12mm version. All of them are blue anodized.
The new lighter high-speed ballbearings offer great car performance, acceleration and top speed. Because of their size, the bearings have to be cleaned and serviced more often. To do this, remove all bearing from the car, clean them with cleaner and rag, and regrease them again. This is especially important with the bearings in the pinion gear assembly as they can carry extreme loads. We recommend using HUDY Bearing Grease after each hour of racing; this will help to significantly extend bearing life. The annual BRCA Juniors event was held at Bedworth on the 19th/ 20th July 2008. The meeting covered Stock (27T) and Pro-stock (19T/10.5T) for U12, U14 and U17. In all there were 10 heats covering 5 main classes. XRAY dominated the Juniors and took the top honours in all but U14 Stock where they achieved 2nd and the U17 stock where XRAY didn\’t compete. Following intermittent showers on the Saturday the weather was forecast for the Sunday was dry. The day started with rain part way through the first qualifier and whilst the earlier heats had a dry run the later heats were on wet tyres slowing the pace. After this the weather remained overcast with occasional sunshine, but with the ever present threat of showers. The format of the meeting was FTD with 3 rounds of qualification and 2 finals.
