PROTOform is excited to announce the immediate release of the all new R5-N 200mm Gas Sedan race body. Gas Sedan bodies require numerous openings to be cut in the roof area to enable cooling and fuel filling and thus the bodies tend to become aerodynamically dirty and inefficient. PROTOform has designed a body to minimize the net drag losses caused by these openings. The unique side windows as well as the rear window contours enhance the efficiency of the linear airflow into and out of the body. Every feature including the large rear wing is within EFRA/ROAR/200mm Global Body Spec dimensions. The enlarged wing struts allow for the use of larger screws for quicker trackside adjustments, and the center strut adds stability. Made to fit all the popular 200mm gas chassis this body is pulled in .030 lexan. It’s supplied with protective covering, decal sheet, window masks and wing hardware.

The R5-N is sure to be another step forward for the serious racer – something PROTOform has built its reputation on.

The most popular motor racing venue around the globe is without a doubt Formula 1 racing. Here in the R/C world there has been a renewed interest in Formula 1 racing. As a result PROTOform has re-released a couple popular designs from a previous era in the Formula 1’s colorful history. A decade or two ago, the cars racing in Formula 1 were extremely diverse in their shapes and designs. The various teams were not only easy to identify because of sponsor logos, but so many teams had a “signature look” that gradually evolved from year to year. Unlike the ultra functional F1 cars of the last decade, most of the cars in that bygone era were considered to be in a word “beautiful.”

The Type M body replicates on the most distinctive cars of that era. It’s made to fit the ever popular Tamiya 103R F1 chassis. It’s pulled in .030 lexan and comes with protective film.

The ever popular 1/12th On-Road class is definitely a favorite with R/C racers and enthusiasts the world over. It has continued to evolve and grow in recent years, much to the delight of many. PROTOform has a long history of designing winning bodies for the ultra quick and nimble 1/12th On-Road class – with numerous ROAR Nationals, US Indoor Champs, Snowbird Nationals as well as IFMAR WORLD’s titles on it’s resume. The all-new AMR-12 race body will prove to be a step forward, in appearance and speed.

On Oct 1st 2009 there will be new ERFA/BRCA body rules that will come into effect, so a “clean sheet” type design was required by PROTOform in an effort to fully comply. The AMR-12 had been exhaustively tested in preparation for these rule changes and the body has actually shown an increase in performance over the “old format” type race bodies. It’s made to fit all the popular 1/12th chassis with design considerations built in to accommodate the larger brushless motors and lead wires.

This semi-realistic body is pulled in .020 lexan and has a protective film on it.  Ready to ship at this time, it’s just in time to start practicing for the IIC Race in Vegas and the US Indoor Champs in Cleveland. Don’t be left behind!

One of the most requested bodies in recent years has been for a PROTOform version of NASCAR’s Car of Tomorrow.

We’re proud to release what we’re calling the TCC – or Today’s Cup Car. This body incorporates all the unique styling cues of the cars raced in the Sprint Cup Series. The comprehensive decal sheet allows you to detail the body to look like any one of the four brands represented in the Cup series. The add-on wing bolts solidly to the molded in struts and is multi-adjustable. The front splitter aids in downforce and handling ability. The width of the car allows it to be mounted on all the current oval chassis as well as the 200mm gas-sedan type chassis.

It comes with clear protective film, decals sheet, window masks and wing mounting hardware.
Now you can enjoy the thrill of having the same style car that you see racing on TV every Sunday afternoon – at your local oval track or parking lot!

The much anticipated PROTOform “R9-R” is the latest in 190mm touring sedan bodies. This Global Body Spec ready race body is designed specifically for rubber tire racing weather it’s on a carpet or a paved surface racetrack. It features a low center of gravity even at the legal 115mm height. The oversize rear wing helps performance on a poor-grip surface that’s commonly experienced in club racing. The body as well as wing have clearly marked trim lines for “legal” IFMAR/EFRA/ROAR style racing as well. The fenders were shaped to provide ample clearance when running 63mm diameter rubber tires. As usual the “R9-R” is pulled in genuine lexan and comes with protective film, decals and wing mounting hardware.

We’re sure the “R9-R” body will compliment any winning touring sedan combination!

EFRA APPROVED #4020
