Former IFMAR World Champion Neil Cragg showed why he is one of the world’s best by successfully defending his 2WD European Championship title. Qualifying on pole position, Neil took victories in legs one and three in the triple A-main format to seal the victory and the beautiful crystal vase trophy.

In the 4WD category, Cragg again qualified on the top of the time sheets. Wins in the first two legs of the A-main secured his place on the top step of the podium and the European Championships title.

Team Associated is pleased to announce the return of multi-time National Champion Mike Blackstock to its Worldwide Race Team. After a 2+ year hiatus from the Team, Mike returns to join fellow Team Associated onroad teammates, including Juho Levanen, Keven Hebert, Rick Hohwart, and Craig Drescher.

In 1/10 Touring Car, Mike will be utilizing the newly released Factory Team TC5F and TC5R. These kits are the evolution of the Radio Control Car Action Reader’s Choice: Touring Car of the Year, the TC5. This platform has already had success from the local club level to the “A” main at the World Championships. Additionally, Mike will be utilizing the brand-new 12R5 1/12 scale pan car and the 10R5 in the newest onroad class, 1/10 World GT.

With over ten National Championships to his credit and multiple “A” main finishes at the IFMAR World Championships, many of them with Team Associated vehicles, Mike is looking to put his new Associated vehicles on the podium at the upcoming International Indoor Championships in August.

Based out of Cleveland, Ohio, Mike will be on hand at local- and national-level events to help Team Associated customers tune and service their vehicles. Additionally, Mike will participate in many of the online forums, including the AE forums, answering questions related to Team Associated products. Welcome back, Mike!

The new Factory Team RC10R5 is Team Associated’s entry into the fast-growing 1:10 scale World GT onroad racing class. With Team Associated’s twenty-five years of 1:12 and 1:10 scale onroad racing history, we are very excited to offer the Factory Team RC10R5 to this new emerging class!

Starting with the highly successful RC12R5 platform, the designers in Area-51 built the bigger RC10R5 on a 2.5mm woven carbon fiber chassis that utilizes a pivot-ball link rear suspension that allows for independent adjustments for chassis roll, bump and alignment. Having the ability to make these chassis adjustments independently gives the RC10R5 greater potential to get the best possible handling from the car and the track surface. While testing, the pivot ball-link chassis has proven to be more durable in high speed impacts and much better in bumpy track conditions.
