2008年のEFRAヨーロッパ選手権オフロードカテゴリーは、イタリアのコレグノにおいて7月7日から6日間をかけ行われました。ヨコモではこのレースに設計開発の細田とメカニックの北川を派遣し、現地ドライバーであるニール・クラッグ選手のサポートをいたしました。
4WDクラスのレースにはMR-4BXファクトリーチームでの参戦を予定していましたが、8月に発売となる新型マシンB-MAX4もテスト用として持ち 込み、製品版の最終確認を行う準備もしていました。ところが事前のテストでB-MAX4を走らせたニール選手は、レースでもそのままB-MAXを使うと決 断、ラップタイムやシャーシの反応の良さは確実にMR-4BXFが上回っていたのですが、路面が乾いたスリッピーな状態が予想されたため、コントロール性 の高かったB-MAXをチョイスしたようです。
