The much-anticipated PROTOform LTC-R is now available and ready to lower your lap times! This Global Body Spec ready race body is designed specifically for rubber tire racing whether it’s on a carpet or a paved surface racetrack. It was designed with slightly more steering ability than the all conquering PROTOform Mazda 6 and MazdaSpeed 6 body styles - yet less aggressive than the PROTOform R9-R body. To further aid balance and rear grip the wing mounting location that’s slightly more rearward. The LTC-R features two trim lines – one for IFMAR/EFRA/ROAR/JMCRA racing at the 115mm height as well as the BRCA’s 120mm height rule. The oversize rear wing helps performance on a poor-grip surface that’s commonly experienced in club racing but also incorporates trim lines for sanctioned style racing. The LTC-R is available in 2 different weights of genuine lexan and comes with protective film, decals and wing mounting hardware.

The all-new “World GT” class was officially introduced to the American on-road racing scene at the 2008 International Indoor Championships in Las Vegas. All in attendance heralded it as a great new racing format, with Mark Smyka declared the first ever WGT winner. All the racers who participated enjoyed these new cars as well! There was a lot of grinning going on.

Just in time to start testing for the US Indoor Champs and the “Snowbird’s Nationals”, PROTOform is proud to release the first “purpose designed” body for the new WGT category – the Sophia GT. With its svelte yet functional shape it is sure to set a standard for the WGT class. It’s made to fit all the new 200mm pan car chassis that have been hitting the R/C marketplace as of late. One of the most exciting classes to emerge in the last year has been the 1/8th scale GT class. The gas powered Kyosho Inferno GT as well as the OFNA DM-1, Ultra GTP/GTP-2have provided a great platform for some very exciting on-road racing. In response to the many requests we’ve received - PROTOform is now introducing the “PF8-GT” racebody. This body style is sure to enhance speed and handling with its large rear wing and front splitter. It’s pulled in rugged genuine lexan and features 3 wing struts for added durability. If more rear downforce is required, the wing has the extra lexan material needed to bend a “gurney lip” across the top edge. This body comes with protective film, decals and wing mounting hardware.

With the new 200mm pan car class gaining popularity with every passing month Protoform is introducing a new LeMans prototype body style , the Mulsanne LMP. This body incorporates the svelte look and the flowing lines of the many “factory works prototypes” that raced in the 24hr classic in the late 90’s. It features an add-on rear spoiler extension with a gurney flap as well as a high mounted wing. A pair of injection molded wing struts are included as well. The wing profile and wing strut lengths can be trimmed to optimize  handling for both carpet and paved track surfaces. It’s designed to fit all of the latest in 200mm pan car chassis. It also comes complete with wing and spoiler hardware, window masks, and protective film. The decal sheets feature two different headlamp styles.

The past year has seen a renewed interest in all the various 1/10th scale on-road classes that use the venerable “pan-car” chassis. Even the 235mm class has gained much popularity in various parts of the world. These racers seem to just “rock on” regardless of racing trends that come and go.

By popular demand Protoform is now releasing the same body style that the legendary Masami used in winning the last-ever IFMAR Pro 10 Worlds – the “P905B”. For it’s “encore performance” the P905B mold has been configured in the hi-downforce mode to enhance handling on a variety of tracks and surfaces. It comes with protective coating and is produced in .030 Lexan.

It’s going to be refreshing and fun to see this new class develop. PROTOform will be supporting the growth of this new World GT class with a couple of “purpose built” GT body styles in the near future.

It’s based on the style of stock we now call “The Nationwide” car and is both functional and yet fairly realistic. It features 2 trim lines (as guidelines) for capped tire or foam tire racing. It comes with decals, protective film, and spoiler hardware. It’s sure to be a winner as were former PROTOform “MD” (medium downforce) body styles.

PROTOform is unveiling it’s latest in a line of winning sedan bodies at the 2008 RCX Show. The all-new “R9-F” is a Global Body Spec ready race body specifically for Carpet/foam racing. It features a low center of gravity even at the legal 115mm height. For those club racers that like to run their bodies low – it’s designed to be quite “slam-able” without clearance issues. In pre-production testing, champion driver Paul Lemieux has given it a big “thumbs up”.

As usual the “R9-F” is pulled in genuine lexan and comes with protective film, decals and wing mounting hardware. We think it’s going to be a winner!

PROTOform continues it’s off-road legacy with the release of the all-new Harddrive body for the Losi 8ightT! Incorporating the latest in ventilation design queues that racers around the world have come to expect from PROTOform quality.

Emulated after full-scale off-road vehicles, each can be cut out allowing for air to flow more effortlessly through the body. This creates less airtime when flying over jumps. Less airtime equals more time on the ground. And, more time on the ground equals reduced lap times and greater consistency lap after lap.
