Jared Tebo, in his first race since returning to Kyosho, TQ’ed and captured top honors in the truck class with his Team Orion-powered Kyosho ST-RR. The Toys for Tots benefit race at Thunder Alley RC Raceway is just a one-day event intended to raise funds and collect toys to benefit less fortunate children. Tebo got off to a rough start, catching a rut and flipping over in the first turn, moving him back to last place on the first lap. Tebo quickly worked his way back through traffic and was able to regain the lead within just a few minutes. Although there were a couple close challenges for the lead during the crossover of pit stops, Tebo cruised to a comfortable win nearly half a lap ahead of second place.
In the buggy class, Tebo, who started from third, made his way to the lead and was able to hold it for most of the shortened 15 minute main. A slightly mistake at the end of the run allowed Truhe to pass with little time to regain the lead. Tebo held on to second place over the hard charging Cody King, who moved up to third from seventh on the starting grid. Both Tebo and King were running the new MP9 with Team Orion and Sirio engines respectively. Both also were using AKA tires, Byron’s Fuel and KO Propo radios and servos. Congrats to Tebo for such a strong first outing with his new machines and thanks to all those that attended for their contributions to such a worthy cause.

No. 30490TW-B MR-02 Ready Set Ferrari F430 GT Test Car
No. 30490SE-B MR-02 Ready Set Ferrari F430 Scuderia
Available: February 2009
This F430 GT has been recreated from the first car introduced officially at the world release. F430 GT was ferrari’s ultimate solution against the true rival Porsche 911 to compete in the FIA GT class. Ferrari has modified and tuned the F430 by widening the front and rear fenders for installing more broader racing tires, adding air outlets on the rear for more efficient head dissipation, by adding a rear wing to fully transfer the power of the engine to the ground and adding air dams in the front area for air flow. The race modification has made the appearance more aggressive and gave it a face of its own.
Scuderia Ecosse is one of the current top team and a well known. The Scuderia Ecosse team has only joined the FIA GT Championships from last year but even with the tough competition from other top teams that have been racing in the class for years, they have already taken the FIA GT2 class title with the Ferrari F340. For this year they have changed the car to the F430 GT with the Scottish flag color scheme to take another title.

Inferno GT2 McLaren F1 GTR
Just 28 of the 107 McLaren F1 supercars produced in the 90’s were allocated for the “GTR” racing program, which included the F1 GTR of Kokusai Kaihatsu Racing. In 1995 during its first year racing the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the F1 GTR dominated the entire field including the prototypes, which are usually the overwhelming favorites to win. The Kaihatsu Racing entry won the overall championship and the F1 GTR took four of the top five overall finishing positions. Recognizing the importance of the victory and its historical significance, McLaren took the car back to their facility and it was never raced again.
The newest version of the Inferno GT2 features a faithful reproduction of this legendary McLaren F1 GTR. The body is factory licensed by McLaren to ensure the quality and appearance meets the demanding McLaren standards.
The new GT2 is the latest in a popular series of big 1:8 scale nitro-powered cars based on the 7-time IFMAR World Champion Inferno line from Kyosho. The Inferno series has been at the center of the RC racing universe for over 20 years and is the standard by which all other cars are judged. Much of the same technology that earned an unprecedented seven World Championships is incorporated into the design of this new on-road Inferno. The GT2 builds on the popular features of the original GT and adds a number of new features that increase value, durability, user friendliness and speed, not to mention enhancing its unmatched scale appearance.

They were the only two drivers to run 60 laps, Kawamoto crossed the line with 59 laps, while Tanaka and Kanai finished with 58 laps. Pavidis runs an MP9 with AKA tires, OS engine, Futaba radio gear, and Sidewinder fuel. King runs an MP9 with AKA tires, Sirio engine, KO Propo radio gear and Byron’s Fuel.
Cody King and Mark Pavidis also were running away with the lead in the DBX/DST class, with King leading the charge. Pavidis fell back due to technical problems, but that was not the case for King. He lead the race right to the finish, taking the top podium position to make it a clean sweep for the US drivers. Congratulations to Pavidis and King for an excellent performance at the Masters.
