Novak is making it easier than ever to convert your 1/8-scale nitro off-road vehicle into an electric buggy by offering 10 inclusive HV Pro 6.5 Brushless System / Conversion Kit Combos with a Free Pinion Gear (#3100 - #3109). These 10 combo sets include the popular HV Pro 6.5 Brushless System – equipped with the fully-programmable HV Pro ESC and the powerful HV brushless motor – all of the necessary conversion components, including a specially designed motor plate and two exclusive battery boxes, plus a free Mod 1 Hardened Steel Pinion Gear. By investing in this all-in-one package, you will be able to save money, as opposed to buying all of the conversion items individually. Never before has the conversion process been simpler or more affordable. All of the benefits of brushless-electric power can be found in one box, so jump on the brushless bandwagon for a leaner, cleaner and less noisy-racing experience.
NITRO OR BRUSHLESS? IT’S SIMPLE!
R/C enthusiasts can experience a new way to drive and race by converting their 1/8-scale buggies into brushles-electric machines.
- Better Performance: Novak sensored-brushless motors provide extraordinary throttle response and controllability, and better acceleration and low-end feel. This translates to better control on bumpy courses and makes clearing jumps easier. Brushless motors also operate consistently in varying weather conditions, so you don’t have to be a tuning expert.
- Lower Center of Gravity: Electric conversion provides a lower center of gravity for more agile and nimble handling. The weight of a converted vehicle is comparable to a nitro setup.
- Less Maintenance: Brushless systems are virtually maintenance-free. No engines to tune or rebuild and no spilled nitro fuel to clean up, so more time can be spent racing or bashing.
- Cleaner Environment: Brushless motors are far cleaner to run than nitro-powered vehicles and are healthier for indoor racing.
- Quieter: Brushless-powered cars are quieter than nitro-powered vehicles and will allow 1/8-scale buggies to run where noise restrictions are imposed.
- Plug and Play: With a brushless-powered system, just turn on the switch and go. No engines to start, tune or warm up.

Brushless racing is within your grasp with Novak’s Havoc Sport Sensored Brushless System. Though the sport system offers the same great features found in all Novak motors and speed controls, it exceeds expectations with its performance and unmatched affordability. The 540-sized motor is equipped with a sintered rotor for precise throttle response and resistance to high temperatures, and is sensored for low-speed driveability and consistent brakes. The Havoc Sport Brushless/Brush ESC contains one of the strongest BECs for sport applications and includes nine adjustable parameters to fine-tune brake and throttle response. Combined, the Havoc motor and speed control promote the fastest racing times for any comparable system. Also, its small footprint and low cost make it a perfect complement to Traxxas’® Slash Pro 2WD Short Course Truck™, HPI’s® E-Firestorm 2WD 1/10th Stadium Truck™, Kyosho’s® LAZER ZX-5 SP™ and other 1/10-scale off-road and on-road vehicles. In short, the Havoc Sport Sensored Brushless System is smaller, stronger, faster and, most importantly, the most inexpensive sensor-based system available.

With input from the top drifters of the world, Novak has developed the specially designed SLYDR Brushless Drift System (#3066-3068). This system includes the new SLYDR Brushless Drift ESC (#1712) factory-wired to one of three, new Novak Drift-Spec Brushless Motors (#3466-3468). These 540-size sensored brushless motors include the Novak 13mm Neodymium Sintered rotor for improved initial throttle response and natural drag brake. The SLYDR Drift ESC, which is based on Novak’s GTB, contains new brake adjustments and features to help fine tune brake response, as well as all new throttle curve adjustments to further customize the already-smooth throttle response.
SLYDR BRUSHLESS DRIFT SYSTEM WINDS
Novak’s SLYDR Brushless Drift Systems are available in three motor winds:
- SLYDR Brushless Drift System – 6.5T (Kv=5,700; Watts=370) provides the most power to light your tires up and excels on large tracks (#3066).
- SLYDR Brushless Drift System – 7.5T (Kv=5,200; Watts=340) is the best all-around-motor with a great balance between power and run time. It also works well on medium-sized tracks (#3067).
- SLYDR Brushless Drift System – 8.5T (Kv=4,500; Watts=280) has the smoothest power response and longest possible run time. The 8.5T is also ideal to use on small tracks (#3068).

Novak has reinvented the HV Pro High-Voltage Brushless ESCs yet again since it was released in 2006. The series now includes new programming, built-in Li-Po Cut-Off Circuitry and a design makeover. The updated HV Pro ESCs were specifically developed by Novak for R/C cars, and are ideal to power monster trucks — such as the Traxxas® E-Maxx™ and E-Revo™ — converted electric 1/8-scale vehicles and vehicles with massive power needs.
HV PRO BRUSHLESS/BRUSH ESC
Completing the HV Pro Brushless System is the fully programmable HV Pro ESC, which can accommodate 6-14 Ni-Cd/Ni-MH cells (7.2-16.8 volts) or 2S-4S Li-Po and can be wired for dual or single battery packs. This high-power, reversible brushless speed control is also easy to install and operate. The HV Pro uses the same screw pattern as the Traxxas® E-Maxx™ and E-Revo™, making it convenient to install, and it includes a Power-Boost ESC Cooling fan kit and factory-installed motor heat sink for superior cooling. In addition, the HV Pro High-Voltage Brushless ESC includes many of the same great features found in high-quality Novak ESCs, such as One-Touch Set-Up, Thermal Overload Protection, a powerful BEC, Polar Drive and Digital Anti-Glitch circuitries and Smart Braking II.
